This is a moment for you and your family and we are honored to help you in any way that we can.

Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want to embalm, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

If the final disposition of a dead body has not occurred within 48 hours of the death, Ohio law requires that the body be embalmed or refrigerated at 40 degrees or less.

  • Extensive restoration when necessary
  • Washing and disinfection when no embalming
  • Preparation, dressing, and casketing
  • Removal of a device (pacemaker, etc.)

Just like a funeral service, a memorial service is a time to remember your loved one. This can be held shortly after death or weeks later, with or without an urn present. What’s important is that it creates a time and a place for family and friends to gather together and support one another, share memories and pay their respects. We can hold a memorial service at our funeral home, the final resting place, or at your home.

Memorial Services may include:

  • Use of staff for off-premises service

A casket burial is a traditional service and there are many options you can choose from. We can provide an immediate burial without a public service; a visitation, viewing, or wake with a closed or open casket; a funeral service at our funeral home, church, or private home, and a graveside service at a cemetery. You can choose whether you’d like a public or private service or a combination. It is entirely up to you how you wish to pay your respects.

Our service for immediate burial may have a viewing, attendant rites, or ceremonies including removal and shelter of the deceased, local transportation to cemetery, necessary services of staff and authorizations, and a cloth-covered pressed wood flat casket. The casket may be provided by the purchaser or selected from the funeral home.

Our family-owned funeral home and crematory is proud to offer an onsite crematory.

An onsite crematory assures our families that their loved ones will always be in our care and we have total control from beginning to the end. We exercise thoughtful and in-depth precautions and proceed through several layers of authorizations to make certain your loved one is respected. Our certified and professional staff will stay in contact with your family throughout the process. Once the cremation process is completed and your loved one's urn has been prepared, we can deliver the urn to the home or cemetery. You can trust our staff. We are proud to be the only minority family-owned funeral home with an onsite crematory in greater Cleveland.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you must use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are composition materials. Our service for a direct cremation without any viewing, attendant rites, or ceremonies includes removal of and transportation of remains to the crematory, if local, basic services of staff and authorizations, permit fees, and your loved one placed in a cardboard container

The next of kin or designated representative must come to the funeral home to identify the deceased person before the cremation process.

Cremation Services may include:

  • Containers for cremations can be provided by the family or selected from the funeral home.
  • Witnessing of cremation process (maximum of five people)
  • Refrigeration
  • Shipping Cremains

Green burial, also known as natural burial or eco-friendly burial, is an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional burial practices. It is an approach that aims to minimize the impact on the environment and promote the natural decomposition of the body. In a green burial, biodegradable materials are used, such as caskets made of sustainable materials like bamboo, wicker, or biodegradable cardboard, instead of non-biodegradable metal or concrete vaults. Embalming fluids, which contain chemicals harmful to the environment, are avoided, and the body is allowed to return to the earth naturally. The burial site is typically a designated natural or conservation cemetery that emphasizes the preservation of the surrounding ecosystem. Green burial practices promote sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, and support the restoration of natural habitats, making it a meaningful choice for individuals and families who value environmental stewardship.

We offer compassionate and eco-friendly green burial services to honor your loved ones in a sustainable manner. We understand the growing importance of preserving the environment while paying tribute to those who have passed away. With our green burial services, we provide an alternative to traditional funeral practices that have a significant impact on the planet. Our dedicated team ensures that every aspect of the burial process, from the casket selection to the final resting place, adheres to environmentally friendly practices. By choosing a green burial, you not only celebrate the life of your loved one but also contribute to the conservation of our natural resources and the restoration of the earth's beauty. Embrace a greener approach to memorialization with our green burial services in Ohio.

At our funeral home, we understand the importance of providing compassionate and professional repatriation services during difficult times. Repatriation involves the process of returning a deceased individual to their country of origin or their desired final resting place. Our dedicated team is experienced in handling the intricate logistics and legal requirements involved in repatriating human remains. We work closely with families, consulates, and international agencies to ensure a smooth and respectful repatriation process. Our comprehensive repatriation services include documentation assistance, coordination with airlines and transport services, and proper preparation of the deceased for international travel. We strive to alleviate the burden on grieving families by handling all aspects of repatriation with the utmost care and attention to detail. Online Memorial

We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.

Tribute Video

We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or digital files of the video are also available.

Funeral Fund Donations

We realize the expense of a funeral can be a burden. We provide the option for friends and family to make monetary donations to help cover funeral costs. These gifts can be made easily and securely online through our website, and are paid directly to the funeral home on behalf of the donor.

Ordering Flowers

We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.

Sharing Service Details

We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or Twitter page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.

Daily Grief Support Emails

We offer one year of free daily grief support emails to the families we serve. It is important to us that we continue to comfort our families through the difficult days that the first year of grieving can bring.
