Willie Mathew Hardy Jr. (Juny) was born September 21, 1957. He was raised in Cleveland, Ohio with his mother Lola (deceased) and his father Willie Sr. He was married to Delicia for 27 years starting on December 13, 1996. He had 7 children, Warren, Dashawn, Jamila, Melanie, James Jr., Dorothy (deceased), and Willia. He was one of 9 siblings (Mary Ann, Jerrusha, Kristie, Carolyn, Andre, Jerome, Andrew, Erik). He had an abundance of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren (20+).
Willie was a very hard-worker. He had several technical certifications in drafting engineering, medical technician, and truck driving. He ended his 20-year career of truck driving at Ferrous Metals this year with an original retirement date of March 16th, his youngest daughter’s birthday. He completed several years in the US Army as a sniper specialist where his love of travel started. He also loved to watch movies, specifically old western movies and anything that has a lot of action in it.
Willie was known to have deep, unconditional, and unwavering love and pride for his family that could be felt from miles away. He wasn’t an argumentative person. When he said something, he meant it and people listened. Because everyone knew, his words were coming from a place of love. Willie was the glue to his family and his presence going and coming was felt. He will be missed by everyone.
