William Dumas Obituary

William M. Dumas, born on May 10, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on September 8, 1948 at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center.  William graduated from Howard high school in 1966.  Upon graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corp and served his country in the Vietnam War for one year, where he received several medals.

After his return, he became a long-term resident of Cleveland, Ohio.  In Cleveland, William was a contract driver for Ameri Cab and fee-lance photographer where he met people from all walks of life.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Dumas and grandmother, Dora Mitchell.

He is survived by his son, Marquis Paige Saqnia of Detroit, Michigan; his two sisters, Cora E. Cosey of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Dora A. Clark of Lithonia, Georgia; aunt, Odell Green of Chattanooga, Tennessee; devoted cousin, Rebecca Ivey of Twinsburg, Ohio and a host of many nieces and nephews and Mike Turner, a long-time friend of Cleveland, Ohio.
