Venis was born on December 2, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio from the union of Lurrie Dee and Dorothy Mae Tisdale. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 24, 2023.
Venis was a solid A student and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He would go on to work as an auto mechanic for Sears Auto Center and then worked various other jobs. He was always there to help when needed.
Although he dealt with life’s trials and tribulations, as we all do, he was a man full of life, enjoying eating, music, dancing, traveling and an avid fan of all the Ohio sports teams. Some of his favorite music artists were Parliament and the Funkadelics, Missy Elliott and Mike Jones. His favorite songs were Atomic Dog, Flashlight; and Work It, which he would dance to all night long!
Venis was the twelfth of 14 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lurrie and Dorothy Tisdale, brother Larry Tisdale, and sister Deborah Jean Borden. He leaves behind seven sisters: Margie Dorsey, Darlene Scott, Richell Johnson, Carmella Rice, Venita Woodall, Cassandra Jones and Charlotte Tisdale; four brothers: Lurrie Dee Tisdale Jr., William Perry, Don Q. Tisdale and Lionel Tisdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and cousins.
