Ulysses Barnes “Lee” was born August 3,1932 in Canton, Mississippi to Edward and Henrietta Barnes who both preceded him in death. Ulysses was the second oldest of seven children, three preceded him in death.
Ulysses confessed to the Lord Jesus at an early age in Canton, Mississippi his hometown. He also attended schooling in Canton, Mississippi. “Lee” Ulysses Barnes came to Cleveland, OH and married and started a union with Florie Barnes which he married on December 27, 1952 with this union came Ulysses Barnes Jr. and to follow Maria Roscoe.
Lee worked and retired from St. John Hospital West shore after 40 years of dedicated work.
He was a very strong and intelligent man. He chose many different tasks in life. He enjoyed playing the Congo drums, the saxophone was one of his favorite instruments. He also played the flute and harmonica. He was very musically inclined. Lee also loved to dance. (Do you understand) which was one of many quotes after a statement that he made.
Lee always saw the best in everyone but he was never the one to bite his words (understands) and to understand pops was to know him. He will be truly missed by a host of family friends and grandchildren. He is and always will be someone special in all are hearts.
