Tracy Isaac Obituary

Tracy “Tré” Bernard Isaac was born April 9, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Janice Thomas-Isaac and Henry Bernard Isaac. On Thanksgiving Day of 1971, the family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. He was baptized Sunday, April 7, 1974, by the late Rev. Dr. Carey McCreary at New Mount Zion Baptist Church. Tré served with the Hospitality, Music, and Food ministries. He never wavered from his faith in God no matter where his travels took him.

Tré was educated in the Cleveland Public School and Lutheran School Systems. He graduated from West Tech High School in 1987. Tré continued his education at the Airmen Leadership School and Cuyahoga Community College with a concentration in Business Administration. In addition, he received multiple Information Technology Certifications.

After graduating high school, Tré served in the United States Air Force for 11 years until he was honorably discharged in 1998. While in the service, he earned numerous awards and commendations, some being: Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Air Force Short and Long Tour Ribbon, and a Kuwait Liberation Medal. His Air Force journey travels included American and foreign lands: Washington D.C., Maryland, Missouri, South Dakota, Virginia, Germany, Turkey, and England.

After his separation from the Air Force, Tré began his career at Cleveland Public Library (CPL). He worked at numerous branches: Collinwood, Sterling, Fleet, and the Main Library. Tré began as a clerk and advanced to the position of Lending Assistant Supervisor. He was also a union steward for Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 1199. Due to illness in 2019, he was no longer able to continue his employment at CPL.

During tax season, Tré worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block. He has been called, “Mr. IRS Jr.”. It has been said he found allowances that surprised his clients. Tré enjoyed cooking, reading, preparing taxes, shopping, and watching the new movies. He was a dapper dresser and was known for his stylish fits. His favorite designer was Tommy Hilfiger.

Different cuisines piqued his interest, and he was always willing to try new things. Tré listened to various genres of music. He would never leave home without his Beats. In the more serious moments, he was witty and had a sense of humor that could catch you off guard. Family was an important part of his life. He was an excellent provider. He also looked after his younger brother, “Lil Willie”.

Tré received his wings April 29, 2023, at 9:40am. He was preceded in death by his father Henry, grandparents, Vivian and James, Inez and Clark, Vina and John, two aunts Gloria and Ernestine, and one bonus aunt, Edna Myers.
