Toni Darlene Williams

Toni Darlene Williams was born October 13, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the third child to the late Willie J. Williams and Frances Williams.

Toni grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she formed many lifelong friendships. She was educated in the Cleveland Public-School system where she was a proud graduate of East Technical High School. Toni graduated in 1974.

In 1975, Toni gave birth to her beloved son, Anton D. Williams. He was the love of her life. That same year, Toni started her career at the City of Cleveland where she worked in the Public Utilities Department as a Customer Service Representative until 1981. In 1981, Toni went on to become a City of Cleveland, Police Dispatcher for the next 25 years. She happily retired in June of 2006.

Toni attended the Living Truth Center for Better Living. “Our Vision here at Living Truth Center is that we are a Christian Church that is intentionally, intergenerational. Where all people can come and drink from the living waters of Truth, thereby inspiring feelings of encouragement, hope and love. Our Mission is to teach Truth Principles that awaken the Christ within, which empowers people to live a healthy, happy and prosperous life.”

Toni was a fashionista and a social butterfly. She was superfly and took great pride in her appearance and helping others to put outfits together. She volunteered at Dress for Success where she outfitted hundreds of women. Also, Toni loved to plan parties and attend Wade Oval Wednesday. She took pride in making sure that all of her friends experienced a sophisticated setting where she set-up tables with table clothes, flowers, food, and wine.

She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory: son: Anton (Jackie) and granddaughters: Aaliyah, India and Erin; sisters: Terrie Williams, Larisa Williams, Tammie Bankston; brother: Kevin Williams; uncle: Samuel Purdy (Shan) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death: father: Willie J. Williams; mother: Frances Williams; brother: Elgin Doss; sister: Lisa Williams.
