Teresa Galloway Obituary

Weep Not For Me

By Unknown Author

Weep not for me though I have gone, Into that gentle night. Grieve if you will, but not for long, Upon my soul’s sweet flight.

I am at peace, my soul’s at rest, there is no need for tears. For with your love I was so blessed, For all those many years.

There is no pain, I suffer not, the fear is now all gone. Put now these things out of your thoughts, in your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath, Remember not the strife. Please do not dwell upon my death but celebrate my life.

An Angel

By an Unknown Author

An angel lived among us, A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness and shared with us her love.

She cherished every moment with the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together, Facing life with all its strife.

She loved her children dearly, each one a different way, Nestled close within her heart. Though, now, she’s far away.

She’s gone to live with Jesus, But, she’s here with us, today, smiling down on every one of us, and telling us she’s O.K.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14 (NLT)

Teresa worked as a fifth-grade teacher at Hinaponan Elementary School for 10 years. She enjoyed teaching children and always encouraged her siblings to further their education as well. During her first union three children were born, Jorrette, Lourdes and Francis Jisu. Teresa always sought to make a better life for her children, so she decided to go to work in Hong Kong as a Domestic Helper for 15 years. She returned often to visit and spend time with her children and her family. In Hong Kong, she met and married her husband, Michael, on November 28, 2006, and then came to the United States to live permanently with him. Initially, they lived in the Atlanta area but moved to Streetsboro, Ohio.

Teresa was employed at Amazon as a Packaging Associate for over 2 years. Prior to this job, she was an Associate at Walmart. Teresa made friends everywhere she went because of her infectious personality. Teresa’s best friend, Nenalyn Camparecio, from the Philippines, Helen Tekra, Leony Dunmire, from Cleveland, Ohio and Merlyn Jones from Georgia, knew her best and enjoyed her company. Teresa had an incredible smile and a way of making you feel happy when she was around. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed going out to eat with her husband, Mike, at Fiji and Komo Japanese Restaurants. Teresa loved to travel, sing Karaoke, play Bingo and go to the Casino with her friends. She was friendly towards her neighbors, often stopping to talk to them to make sure they were doing fine.

She enjoyed talking to them in English and watching them dance and sing to music. Her last visit to the Philippines was on March 13, 2017 where she enjoyed the company of her entire family. Teresa was so excited when her sister, Nancy, met and married her husband William, and moved to the United States. She was so happy to have the opportunity to visit with her sister and spend more time with her. Teresa studied for and passed the citizenship test to become a Citizen of the United States of America on June 15, 2018. She was so proud and happy to accomplish this life-long goal. Teresa was forever grateful to her mom, Evelyn Mangao, for all her help, love and support with all her children.

Teresa was Catholic in her faith and often attended Mass at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Maple Heights, Ohio. No matter where Teresa was, she always stopped to pray at 3:00 p.m. She had a very strong faith in God.
