Sylvia Yvette Isaac Streety was born October 26, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles H. Isaac and Joan O. Isaac. The family joined Affinity Missionary Baptist Church in 1980 where Sylvia was baptized by Rev. James E. McJunkin, Sr. Pastor. Sylvia attended Cleveland Public Schools.
She has been active at Affinity since she joined. She enrolled in the Systematic Bible Study Program. During her teen years she helped Affinity Instructors Council youth and teens at Camp Koinonia. Later she counseled teens in The Youth Empowerment Program with the Cleveland Baptist Association.
As she became older she joined two choirs, the Morning Praise Voices and the Sanctuary Choir. Following Nursing School she joined the Church Nursing Program assisting members during Church Services and was a Core Team Member with Shelter from the Storm 12 Step Recovery Ministry.
During High School and College she worked for Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. Following graduation from John F. Kennedy High School and Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus Nursing School where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree and Registered Nurse Degree she was employed at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
She will be remembered by her Mother Joan O. Isaac, Sister Karyl Annette Joyner, her Brother-in-law George Joyner and their Sons Karl and Andre Joyner of Reminderville, OH. Brother Charles H. Isaac, Jr. wife Cindy Isaac, and their children Victoria, Gabrielle and Charles Christian of River Forest, IL, her Daughter Bridget Streety, grandsons Bryce and Braylen of Akron, OH, And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
