Rosemary Wiggins Obituary

Rosemary (White) Wiggins was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 30, 1953 to the union of Rose Marie Alexander and Thomas Malcolm White. Rosemary was the youngest of three daughters. Her eldest sister, Loretta preceded her In death. Her other sister, JoAnne resides In Michigan.

Rosemary attended the Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1971. She was active in school activities and participated in the Marching Band where she was one of the First Ladies High Steppers.  After High School she attended Kent State University where she majored in Communications and Public Relations and graduated in 1976. Upon graduation she accepted a sales position with the Higbee Company, a local department store where she worked sales, auditing and then employment and training. In 1979 she applied for a position with Kaiser Permanente as a Human Resources Assistant.  She remained with that employer for 34 years at which time the company moved out of Ohio. She retired from Kaiser and worked 3 additional years as a Human Resources Business Partner with Mercy Health till 2017.

Rosemary joined and was baptized at Liberty Hill Baptist Church In 1983 under Pastor Blanton Harper Jr.  In 1986, she met and married Daniel Wiggins Jr. on September 9, 1989, who was a member also.

Rosemary remained active within the church throughout the years. She worked with Guild Girls and also the Cheer Leaders. In 1987 she was selected to be one of the first Female Trustees and was also the Church Clerk. She remained in that role for 27 years and then stepped down and was placed in Emeritus status. She moved on to participate In the Sunday School with the First Lady of the Church, Sis. Heather Johnson. They helped facilitate discussions with the Women covering several biblically based books from a variety of authors. She also worked in the Clothing Ministry. She would also sing in the annual Women's Day Choir.  She loved gardening and flowers and maintaining her yard and loved visiting museums and travel.

To cherish her memory: Husband Daniel Wiggins Jr., 2 step children, Mia Danielle Wiggins Galloway (Rodney}, Christopher Charles Wiggins (Suzanne), 5 grandchildren, Khadezjah Lebrea Wiggins, Aaliyah Monet Wiggins, Mya Marie Wiggins, Christopher Wiggins Jr., Alahna Noelle Abena Amoah, 1 Great-Grandson, Dash Hairston, 2 sisters, Joanne White, Loretta Eva White Jones, who preceded her in death and a host of relatives and friends.
