Polly Ann Robinson

On February 24th, 2020, Mrs. Polly Ann Robinson transitioned to her new home in Heaven at the age of 89.

Born in Highland Falls, NY on October 11th, 1930 the third of four siblings, and daughter of Thomas and Maggie Larkins, Polly Larkins later moved to Baltimore, MD., where, at the age of 18, she met and married Cleveland Robinson, Jr. Together they had seven children; Tyrone W. Robinson (preceded in death), Paris F. Robinson (preceded in death), Cleveland Robinson III, Larry C. Robinson, Kareama Robinson-Haywood, Nancy L. Robinson and Jeffery Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson later relocated their family to the state of Ohio, where they settled in the suburb of Shaker Hts., and raised their family.

Polly and Cleveland Robinson founded the Robinson Painting and Interior Decorating Company, a family owned and operated business which serviced the Ohio area for more than 60 years.

Mrs. Polly Robinson was a faithful, loving and devoted wife and mother. She had a heart for people - all people. Polly was a kind and caring woman who possessed a servant’s heart. She knew no strangers. She enjoyed cooking and was a gracious and generous host to everyone who entered into her home.

Polly Ann Robinson knew Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. She found great comfort in The Holy Word of God. Together, with her family, she attended East Mt. Zion Baptist Church for several years, but would later join Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, under Dr. O. M. Hoover. She and her husband maintained their membership with Olivet until they both went into nursing home care in 2016.

Mrs. Robinson was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Mr. Cleveland Robinson, Jr., on December 5th, 2019. To mourn her passing, she leaves her remaining 5 children; Cleveland Robinson III; Larry C. Robinson; Kareama Robinson-Haywood; Jeffery Robinson and Nancy L. Robinson; her remaining sister, Loretta, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
