Pierre Armon Lowe was born to the late Wendell Lowe and Camelia Lowe Moore on February 24, 1951 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. During the early 1960’s Pierre moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he resided until heaven called him home.
Pierre was an avid reader. He enjoyed reading to increase his knowledge about the world. His every day reading was the Bible where he went to Bible college to further his education. Reading the Scriptures comforted him. In fact, the spiritual side of Pierre’s Love for God came from spending time with a godly grandmother- the late (Julia Hancock), during his childhood and believing in God.
Pierre enjoyed writing poetry, music, and the guitar was self-taught where he loved to write and play for his family. His poems revealed a man who was a deep thinker with a sensitive soul. Although he can be tough and rough as a man. Pierre has shown kindness and compassion, and as far as wisdom he taught us alone with loyalty, understanding and humor throughout his life. Pierre’s most funniest part about life was making others laugh to a point he bought a $300 monkey suit and dressed up for Halloween. On some days when he just wanted to make others laugh, he went outside and walked and ran through Hamshire in Cleveland Heights, and people were so happy laughing, stopping to take pictures. It was an incident where he walked into a store and a man was going to kill him because he was scared, but it was all fun and games. He was an amazing and funny man.
From 1968 to 1970 Pierre served in the US Army where he furthered his education at the high school during his time in the army, Pierre fought in Vietnam and became a member of the 336 SOC Trang Thunderbirds and received a specialist 5 (SPC 5) rank in 1969 and was awarded numerous medals, souvenirs and heroism in combat. During a battle in Vietnam, Pierre also showed bravery by saving his commanding officers life. Also he served a short time in the Navy in the late 70s.
Pierre met the love of his life Patricia Banks in 1984 they became inseparable. You didn’t see one without the other until 2019 in which she preceded him in death.
Pierre leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter Erika Jones; a son Lamont; 8 stepchildren: Willie Banks, Darryl Banks, Jerome Banks, Tyrone Banks, Dorothea Banks, Billie Banks, Brianja Warren and Davon Warren; his seven siblings: Jerome K. Lowe, Kay Annette Lowe Johnson, Bertie Barrington Varner, Wally McCall, Laurabeth Lee, Phyllis Moore and Ina Moore; with a host of nieces an nephews, cousins and friends.
