Paul Favors Obituary

Pearline M. Favors and Gabriel Walters welcomed Paul into the world on June 20, 1947. His sisters Frances, Julia, Margarite and Bernadette had a little brother whom they always loved and shared precious moments. Paul was very excited when his brother John was born because he was no longer the only boy.Paul confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 11 at Second New Hope Baptist Church and was baptized by the Rev. J.W. Allen. He loved the Lord, studied the bible, quoted the word, a prayer warrior, attended Bible College and was ordained as a Deacon under the ministry of Rev. Bill Sawyer, Christian Tabernacle Church. He lifted up his beautiful voice in song as a choir member participating in choirs at Kinsman elementary school, the Cleveland Boys Choir, Second New Hope Baptist Church and St. Peters AME Church.Paul a gifted learner would observe someone or read a book and then perform a new skill. He graduated from Cleveland Municipal School District, East Technical High School Honors programs. Paul continued his education at Cuyahoga Community College and John Carroll University. Paul had a job at Parker Hannifin where he started in an entry level position and worked his way up. Jones and Laughlin Steel Co. recognized his intelligence and sent him to college to study management. He served as a foreman for Cleon and retired from Samuel Steel Pickling. Paul married his high school sweetheart Karen Dillard they were blessed with their son Adam Leroy Favors. Later in life, Paul was remarried to Runae Perry and they welcomed to their union Paul G Favors Jr. He had his only daughter Miranda and youngest son Moses with Lucy Ridgell and extended his family to include Kimberly Ridgell, Melanie Ridgell and Brandon Williams. Paul was a talented Artist, a math wizard, a master barber and an excellent dancer. He loved to dress, displayed a sense of humor, and gave everyone their first haircut. Daddy, Baby Brother, Uncle Paul, cousin loved his family. He served as the weekend baby sitter for all his nieces and nephews. Paul enjoyed the element of surprise, tickling and giving birthday licks. He is preceded in death by his parents Pearline and Gabriel, brothers Isaac and John. He is survived by his children: Adam Leroy Favors; Paul Gabriel Favors Jr. (Lesichia), LA; Miranda (Davinder)Sahota, North Royalton, Ohio; Moses (Sierra) Favors, Garfield Hts, Ohio; Grandchildren: Bria, Savannah, Esikheoh, Paul III, Destiny, Samuel, Moses Jr., Mairi, Micah, Ma-Lonnie, Jayshown, Ja’ssiah, Harmony, Zyra, Kemari. His sisters: France M. Myers, Shaker Hts., OH; Julia Henderson, Garfield Hts., OH; Margarite Brooks, IL.; Bernadette Satterfield, Cleveland, OH; Extended Family: Kimberly Myles, Melanie (Raji) Wagner and Brandon Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friend.
