Pamela Barr, a respected Cleveland communications professional and lover of dance, passed away Friday, October 4th, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Pamela worked with the Cleveland Public Relations firm, Watt, Roop & Company for 18 years as an account executive, rising to senior vice president and a member of the management team. After the firm was sold, she founded Barr Communications in 2003 with her son, Philip. Barr spearheaded marketing communication programs over the course of her career including: AT&T, TRW and BP America, as well as local institutions such as Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, Ursuline College and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. It was her work for non-profit organizations- particularly those involving social justice, culture and the arts that she enjoyed the most.
