Maxwell Greaton Adams was born December 23,1933 and departed this life peacefully on June 6,2020. He joined the Adams family including his parents; Montieth Sr.and Mabel, brothers; Montieth Jr., Marcellus , Myron, Merle, Milton and sister; Monetta. He is survived by his brother, Michael (Gwen).
Max was a loving soulmate of Casey Carver; beloved father of Michael, Fredda Fitzpatrick ( Reggie), and Frances Davis; dear grandfather of Blake Adams, Dierra Fitzpatrick and Loren Davis.
Max was a proud graduate of Collinwood High school class of 1953 where he excelled in track and football. He loved Collinwood High and his many friends there and up until recently he was still getting together for lunch with his GUMBAS Buddies.
Max attended Western Reserve University on a football scholarship. He was drafted into the United States Navy in 1955 and served for four years. He told a lot of stories and tales of his life on the Air Craft Carrier Bonhomme Richard. After being Honorably discharged from the Navy Max returned to Western Reserve ( now Case Western Reserve University) to work in the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Medicine where he retired after 47 years. He was especially proud to have worked along side Dr. Harland G. Wood, the first Department Chairman AND Noble Prize candidate.
Max was a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Max will be missed by his family, many friends, and especially his "furry" friends, Buster and Cricket.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Cleveland Animal Protective League or Charity of choice.
The family will have a Private Graveside Service at Lake View Cemetery.
A Public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
