Mary E. Walton

Mary Etta Walton passed away in Cleveland Heights, Ohio November 9, 2020.  She was born in Youngstown, Ohio December 11,1922 to the late John and Josephine Friend.

Mary moved to Akron, Ohio and married Herman Oliver Baines.  To this union were born Joyce (husband Albert Howard) both deceased; and Herschel Baines (deceased), survived by wife Ora.  Mary and Herman Baines later divorced.  Mary worked many years ago and eventually married Ira Walton (deceased) and became a housewife that enjoyed many years of shopping for her home as well as for her husband and herself.

Services for Mary Etta Walton will be held at Boyd Funeral Home (2165 E. 89th St. Cleveland location). Viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m. with service to follow at 12 noon Wednesday, November 18, 2020; burial Lakeview Cemetery.

Mary is survived by sister-in-law Bertha Friend of Arizona; daughter-in-law Ora Baines of Fairlawn, Ohio, and the following grandchildren and great grandchildren: Al Howard, Jr., Kenneth Howard, Joyce TepeyS-Fio, Diana Howard, Herschel (Pete) Baines, Jason Baines; great grandchildren Ama TepeyS-Fio, Afi TepeyS-Fio, Adjoa TepeyS-Fio, Brandon Howard, Brittany Reed, Jordyn Baines, Jason (JJ) Baines, Jr., and Xavier Baines.

The Family of Mary Etta Walton would like to especially thank Sonia Thomas for the many years of service to our love one. We would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and words of kindness, and Boyd Funeral Home for their service.
