Mary Virginia (Olmstead) Butcher

Mary Virginia Butcher was born in Catis, Ohio on August 7, 1915 to Cora and Ralph Olmstead. Mary was a retired social worker for Cuyahoga County.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing scrabble and she loved dogs. Mary was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, a former Director of Services to Young Families and was awarded the Social Worker of the Year Award during her tenure. She was a beloved mother of Lida Crawford, a cherished grandmother of Elan Crawford, a loving great grandmother of Alicia Delic, Phylicia Delic and Gabriel Dabney, and a dear aunt of Sydney Williams and Vickie Reed. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
