Marceline (Morgan) Spencer crossed the river to sit at the Lord’s side September 24, 2022.
Born October 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dellie Sr.,
her parents, Isaac and Selina (Rice) Morgan, sisters, Betty Jean Forrest, Geraldine Biles and
Clarice Render. She and Dellie Sr. married May 15, 1948 and from this union was born a son, Dellie Jr., and three daughters, Prisilla, Deborah and Karen.
Marceline began her church service as a member of East Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later joined Affinity Missionary Baptist Church, September 4, 2011 where she taught vacation Bible school and participated in the Affinity Enlighten Book Club.
She began her working career as a hairdresser and then worked for over 25 years for General Electric before retiring.
Throughout her 94 years, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, Poker, casinos and lottery scratch-offs.
She was in various social, golf and bowling clubs and leagues and a Worthy Matron of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 101. She enjoyed art and painting and participated in art groups at Warrensville Hts. Civic and Senior Center. Sewing was her passion, making the majority of her clothes and making clothes and doing alterations for others. She enjoyed cooking, baking cakes and cookies and spending time with family and friends. She would hand write over 100
Christmas cards each holiday season.
Marceline’s passing leaves to mourn her children, Dellie Jr. (Diah), Prisilla, Deborah, and Karen
(Ralph); two grandchildren, Dwayne and Darius; brother, Daniel (Sue), nieces, Selina, Claudia, and Dana (Eddie); nephews, Dale (Aziza), Daniel Jr., Freddie, Don (Gloria) and Glenn Spencer along with many other loving family and friends.
