Larry Ragland

Larry Ragland was born October 23, 1950, in Locust Grove, Georgia. He was the ninth and last child born to Alton and Elner Ragland Sr.

The family relocated to Cleveland, OH in 1957 where he attended the Cleveland Public School System. After Larry graduated high school, he worked odd jobs until he landed a job working for the city of Cleveland as a Sanitation Worker where he worked for 26 years until his retirement.

Larry never married, but he was the father of 3 sons. Lamont, Derrick & Rashon (both of whom preceded him in death).

Larry was a socializer and he loved to dress, he was a very sharp dresser in his days and loved to dance. He also loved playing his vinyl records and shooting pool. He truly enjoyed his cars!

On September 11, 2023, Larry was called home to glory. He was preceded in death by his parents Alton Sr. and Elner Ragland, and his brothers Bobby, James, Elford & Billy. Larry is survived by, his son Lamont Robinson (Monique), his 7 grandchildren, his brothers, Alton Ragland (Barbara), Herman Ragland (Laura), & Melvin; a very devoted & loving sister Christine Hunter (Odell – deceased), sisters-in-law Essie, Neta, LaVerne, & Deborah. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also, to cherish in his memories are Tatyana & Danielle who affectionately called him granddad.
