Latonya Denise Bell was born at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on February 8, 1978, to Bridgette Bell and Clark Coe. She left this world and went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2022, at the youthful age of 44. Her daughter Havana Pipkins preceded with her in death.
Latonya graduated from Max S. Hayes High School in 1997 and immediately entered the workforce. She held a few jobs immediately after graduation but eventually found her niche when she started working for the City of Cleveland’s Division of Water. During her 15 years there she held numerous positions, including her first role as a Junior Clerk. The last role she held before her unexpected death was a C.A.A Credit and Collections Lien Processor.
Anyone who knew Tonya knew she was “All about her checks”. A saying that followed her not only in life but through her friends on social media.
Latonya was blessed with a large and loving family. Her family was her passion. As a loving mother of seven and grandmother of the six she loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Although her runway sense of style and bold personality made her stand out in any environment; it was her ability to empathize with others on a deep personal level, both in joy and in sadness that touched all who knew her.
Latonya will be sorely missed by her daughters; London Bell, Paris Fair, Asia Goddard, India Goddard; sons; Walter Goddard IV, Jay Cottrell; grandchildren; Donzell Smith Jr., Cazal Smith, Marquise Spraggins Jr., Ja’Launie Johnson, Ja’Karie Johnson and Jovante Johnson Jr.; mother; Bridgette Bell, father; Clark Coe (Sharon), sisters; Lise Coe, Lynnise Smith, Alyssa Bell; brothers, Cedre Coe, Rayshown Bell, JoVan Moreland; grandmother; Fannie Mae Ivory, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, bonus children, extended family members and friends.
