Howard Slaughter

Howard L. Slaughter (1947-2022)

Howard Slaughter was born on April 13, 1947 to George M. Slaughter and Mildred Hill Slaughter.  He was a kind, generous, funny, happy-go-lucky gentleman who loved cars, dancing, roller skating, cowboy movies and just talking with people.  Whenever you saw Howard, he would always have on his favorite baseball cap.

Howard passed peacefully September 21, 2022 at the age of 75.

Howard leaves to celebrate his life his beloved companion, Eloise Thornton, for over 35 years; one loving daughter, Kim Bonaparte; brother, George (Ruth) Slaughter; sisters, Bonnie Slaughter and Charlotte Burke.  Howard had two grandchildren, Charkym Bonaparte and Kymjana Ismaila.  He was the uncle of Larry and Brandon Burke, Daryl, Leslie, Maria and Scott Ray and Johnna Johnson.  He will also be missed by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were 3 siblings; Patti Smith, Codell Hargraves and John Ray.  He also had a special nephew, Frederick (Butch) Hill. 

Howard enjoyed his life, his home and his family and friends.  He will be sorely missed.  Rest in peace.
