Florence Dimmings

Florence Patterson Dimmings was born May 7, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. Florence was the second oldest daughter of nine children born to the union of Eugene and Ophelia Patterson. Florence’s parents, husband Arthur Dimmings Sr., daughter Sheron Dimmings Snoddy, son Arthur Dimmings Jr., three brothers: Willie Maxie, John, Owen, and four sisters: June, Deloris, Ruby and Betty preceded her in death.

She gave her life to God at an early age and lived a faith filled life. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall and practiced this religion faithfully.

Florence met and married Arthur Dimmings Sr. and with this union they had seven children. Florence was a stay at home wife  and mom, and enjoyed cooking and crafting. Her main passion was spending time with her children and their families on the holidays. She had a very passionate heart and was a very giving person.

On Monday, November 13, 2023 at 7:50 pm, Florence was called home at University Hospital of Cleveland. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Andre Dimmings, Kelvin Dimmings, Melvin Dimmings; two daughters Patricia Blanton and Ophelia Herndon; one sibling Corene Robinson; nineteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins extended family members and treasured friends.
