Fannie Henderson Germany was born to Nathaniel Henderson and Mable (Hines) Henderson on June 16, 1932 in Carrollton Ga. She was the fourth of five children. They moved from Georgia to Chattanooga Tennessee when she was 2 years old. Fannie received her formal education in the Chattanooga School system.
At the age of 13, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1950 and in 1951, she started working for DePaul Infant Home and after one year there, started working at University Hospitals and was there for seventeen years and retired. She then worked for the Cleveland Heights University Heights Board of Education and retired from there in 1990. She continued working at various daycare centers where she loved taking care of children.
Fannie met the love of her life Albert Germany, Jr. in 1954 and in June of 1955, Albert asked her mom for Fannie’s hand in marriage in which her mother agreed. In November of 1955 they were married, this union was blessed with 3 sons Albert III, Michael, Marvin and 1 daughter, Yvette.
She was a member of Everlasting Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years, sang in the choir and was on many different committees. She moved her membership to St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church in 1977, and continued singing her praises and helping in the church until she became ill.
Fannie was preceded in death by husband, Albert Germany, Jr., second born son, Michael Germany (Arvella), parents Nathaniel Henderson and Mable (Hines) Henderson, brother John (Buster) Henderson and 3 sisters Georgia Mae Scott, Luvenia Spearman and Corene Knox.
Fannie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Albert T. Germany, III, Marvin Germany (Kathey), and daughter, Yvette Germany, as well as 3 grandchildren, Michael Germany, Candice Germany Brown (Shawn), Marvin Germany, Jr. Seven great-grands, Morgan and Michael III, Jordan, Aaliyah, Allysa, Zyaire, Nayeli, and four great great-grands, Marcus, Princeton, Michael IV and Mikayla and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
