Mrs. Esther M. Brown was born on October 18, 1927 in Lowndes County, Alabama to Rev Dr. Alfred C. and Estella Cosby. Preceding her in death were her four siblings, Kate Dudley, Alexander, Richard and William C. Cosby.

Other organizations that she was a member of were Chairmen of Rewards Committee for the church anniversaries, Home and Overseas Missionary Society, Stewardess Board No. 1 and the church Kitchen Committee, Whenever there was food being served you would always find Esther cooking southern fried chicken, and her specialty were.

Sweet potato pie that she would bring, but never made it to the kitchen as a member would purchase it from her as she walked in the church doors. Esther always exemplified that southern hospitality. She never lost contact with the membership and her loving friends.
