Elizabeth Houghton

Elizabeth Houghton was born on June 4, 1929 in Forest, Mississippi to her parents, Malcolm and Birdie McClendon.  She married Joseph Houghton and birthed one son, Gilbert Houghton.

She attended John Adams High School and later attended Kent State University.  She worked at Ohio Bell Telephone Company as a long distance operator.  She also worked as a real estate agent but spent most of her working life at the Cuyahoga County Department of Human Services' Special Investigation Department as an Investor Supervisor.  

She leaves to mourn her passing a brother, Richard (Constance) McClendon; sister, Saundra (James) White and a host of nieces, nephews and numerous friends.  Preceded her in death was her brother William McClendon; sisters, Ella Bergeon, Dollister Rollins and Annie Kennebrew.
