Iris Ruth Pratt was born on October 31,1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the parentage of Clarence and Daisy Pratt. Those that knew her called her " Doris" Iris Pratt Robinson.
Doris worked for the U.S Postal service but decided to dedicate her time to her family. Doris married Richard Lee Robinson and to this union seven children were born.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (1967) and five children; Sherry, Austin, Ronald, Larry, and Clarence ( Leonard).
Doris loved to entertain. Her famous "Back to Back" Rum punch would get you nice and tipsy. Doris had a myriad of talents, like dancing, cooking, candle making, floral design and seamstress to name a few. When it came to playing cards, Gin rummy, was her game of choice. Many marveled at her skills of creating art with fruits and vegetables. She was also master cake decorator and candy maker. Doris had a passion for ironing. No one slept on wrinkled sheets!
Doris was active in several clubs;such as the Frederick Douglass Civic Club and the Eastern Stars Masonic Lodge. She strived to be active in her community. She will be dearly missed.
Daisy leaves to cherish her memory, three children; Barbara Jean Davis of Birmingham,AL, Richard ( Lonnie) Robinson of Cleveland,OH, and Iris McClorn of Rex, GA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren,great-great grandchildren,great-great-great grandchildren,neices and nephews; Sister,Laura Hopper and a host of other relatives and friends.
