Deloris Ann (Hutchins) Jones, born December 25, 1933, in Sumpter County, Emelle, Alabama to the late Martha (Mason) Hutchins and Luther A. Hutchins, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. She was the second oldest of nine sisters and brothers. She graduated from Sumpter Country Training School in Livingston, Alabama.
Deloris confessed Christ at an early age, and when she moved to Chagrin Falls, she met her best friend, Charles W. Jones. On October 27, 1962, the two were married, and to the union Twana Lynn (Fairburn, GA) and Darryl Warren (Akron, OH) were born.
Deloris worked alongside her husband for over 47 years at the company they founded, Perfection Valet Cleaners. When Charles grew ill, they sold the business so she could remain at home taking care of him until he passed.
In 2019, Deloris moved to Atlanta with her daughter. After the pandemic, Deloris moved to Akron to be closer to her final resting place. After a long battle with vascular dementia, she passed away comfortably and peacefully while her children held her hands.
Deloris is survived by her children, Twana and Darryl, her sisters Patricia (Larry) Leatherwood, Georgia (Lonnie) Kimble, Linda (Curtis) Jenkins, sister-in-law Jean Hutchins; brothers Curtis Jones, James (Lorraine) Hutchins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, sister Edna Jasper, brothers Otis Jones and Benjamin Hutchins.
