In Loving Memory of Corey Lamar Gill
Sunrise: 10/7/68 Sunset: 8/13/19
Corey Lamar Gill, born October 7, 1968, was the loving son of H.C. Gill and Peggy Ann (Thompson, nee) Gill. Following a lengthy illness, he passed away on August 13th, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital-South Pointe, with family at his side.
Corey was a graduate of R. B. Chamberlin High School in Twinsburg, Ohio. There, he met Angela Renee Hughes, and formed a bond that would last 34 years. From this union, were born three wonderful children, Seth Mackenzie Gill, Noah Ashley Gill and Haley Elizabeth Gill.
Corey concurrently carried out two years of post-secondary education while commencing a career with the United States Postal Service. He went on to work for ITT Technology for many years. Later, he worked for Daimler Chrysler, but ended that position after falling ill.
Corey was fulfilled by love for his family. In most recent years, he became an avid gardener and shared time in the flower gardens with Angela. He also developed chef-like cooking skills and delighted in cooking elaborate meals for his family, friends and out of town guests. He researched various spices and herbs, even creating his own tasty seasonings and packaged them to share with those he loved. Additionally, Corey took great interest in music and reveled in the many rich and soulful tunes of his day.
Corey was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. Gill and Peggy Ann Gill. He is survived by the love of his life and spouse Angela, their children, Seth Mackenzie Gill, Noah Ashley Gill and Haley Elizabeth Gill. He is also survived by his brothers, Trenton (Bonni) Gill and Darryl (LeShawn) Gill, two nephews and three nieces, Tyler Gill, Tayler Gill, Lexi Ann Gill, Tyler Hughes, Marley Hughes and a host of wonderful uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy and prayer during our time of bereavement.
