My Mom and Dad were reunited in Heaven on April 19, 2022. My Mom was fiercely independent, inquisitive, creative, funny , loving and TECHNOLGY SAVVY My parents created a good life for us, enhanced by my Mother’s sense of order, intellect and care. I will remember how she was there for us and intuitive about when we needed her most. I benefited many times from her mercy and love. She would sing while sewing or cooking, I can close my eyes and see it and the memory will always comfort me. My brother Ken, my children Lauren, Troy and granddaughter Ananda and I were loved, adored and cared for by the many sacrifices made by my parents. She has left for us a rich family history of photos, family tree research, and treasures she created with her nimble hands. I am beside myself with grief because she was a force, a thinker, a caregiver and I am undone. Pray for us, pray for her sisters and brothers, her nieces and nephews and all of those who loved and cherished Collene Hollyfield Combs.
I Love You Mom,
Tootie
When my mother Collene Combs passed away, I was with her. She was a talented seamstress, Registered Nurse, straight A student that graduated at 16 even after missing a whole year of school due to illness…
I was blessed to have two hardworking college educated parents providing love and roof over my head. Spoiling me every christmas with a treasure of toys. Spending their hard earned cash on my education and giving me the tools to survive this world.
I love you Mom, you will be missed, your Son Kenneth
