Codie Lee Lawrence

Codie Lee Lawrence, 77, of Cleveland Heights OH, passed away on October 15, 2023, after a short illness.

Codie was born in Altheimer, Arkansas in 1944 and was the beloved son of Lucy Lawrence. He graduated
from Altheimer High School. He and his twin brother moved to Cleveland OH in 1964 in search of better

opportunities. He was employed in various places/manufacturing jobs around Cleveland, but settled into
Nestle in 1985 in their prepared foods division. He retired from there in 2007after 22 years of loyal
                           
employment.

Codie accepted Christ at a young age and was a faithful member of Central Bible Baptist Church for over
ten years, His church family brought him great comfort. He was a very compassionate person and would
always go out of his way to help anyone who needed assistance. He loved his family, friends and
neighbors and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed exercising, cycling and walking around his
neighborhood. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His is preceded in death by his sister, Everstine Jenkins, his mother, Lucy Lawrence, and his grandparents,
Roxy & Samual Lawrence. He is survived by his twin brother, Cozie Lawrence, his nephew, Cortez
Jenkins, his very close cousins, June and Carl Lawrence, and many more cousins too numerous to name.
