Chester Leroy Jordan

Chester Leroy Jordan was born on December 29, 1941 to Estelle Moore and Clifford Jordan. He left this earth to be with his beloved wife on May 4, 2021. Raised by his grandmother Ida, Chester grew up on Scovill Avenue and graduated from May Flower High in the 1960s.

Chester continued to work odd jobs after graduation until he settled in at T&B Foundry where he retired from in 2004. In 1988 Chester married the love of his life Barbara who brought out the best in him and with whom he shared his life with for over 30 years!

A lover of his family, motorcycle, BBQ grill and the gym, Chester made sure to enjoy his life while also having a cute obsession with his last name being carried on for future generations. Chester made sure to keep his loved ones closest to him even as his health declined. A strong man with an even stronger sense of self, Chester didn’t let anyone jive him around and made sure he spoke what was on his mind and will be truly missed.

Chester is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Barbara, grandmother Ida, mother Estelle, father Clifford, sister Catherine, brother Leroy. He is survived by his two daughters, Jackie (Nate) and Monique (Larry); two sons Latrell (Janeice) and Clifton; and one stepson Chuck. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, one sister Marjorie as well as three brothers Eugene, Allen and Johnny.
