Charles Timothy Dixon was born in Cleveland, Ohio - St. Lukes Hospital, October 10, 1958 to Charles Dixon Sr. (deceased) and Wilma Dixon-Jackson (deceased). Recent Memorium/Reunion (Birth mother) Jessie Jordan (deceased).

Charles Timothy Dixon graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in class of 1977, “The Mighty Eagles”. Shortly after graduation he joined the U.S. Navy in 1978. Did first tours of service in Orlando, Florida, New York, New York and Oakland, California. He was assigned Sea Service deployment as a petty officer to the USS Coral Sea Naval Ship at Atsugi, Japan where he was a former Aviation Ordanceman performing maintenance and logistic duties. He attended the U.S. Naval Aviation School of Fundamentals which prepared him to carry out his duties as a part-time fire-fighter with the auxiliary fire crew. He received a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Navy expeditionary medal of honor. After his honorable discharge in 1982 he was released from active duty and transferred to the naval reserve until 1985. He later became a corrections officer at the Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility from 1992 to 2005-while employed as a correction officer he studied law enforcement and criminal justice at Cuyahoga Community College and Bryant & Stratton College receiving an associate degree. He was blessed with the desire of his heart with his last employment with the Cleveland Louis Stokes VA Hospital in 2011 in which he was employed in maintenance and logistics. As an veteran employee he was highly loved and respected by his co-workers, the VA nurses, doctors and patients. Charles was extremely proud working there, he would say, “this is the best government job I ever had, I love my co-workers they are like family.”

Charles Timothy Dixon loved sports especially football and basketball. As a teenager you would find him at Woodhill Park or at a neighbors basketball court playing basketball. As an adult he frequently went to the arena to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers and at the Cleveland football stadium cheering on the Cleveland Browns. Charles was an advocate chess player in which he was on the John F. Kennedy High School chess team and continued playing Chess frequently his entire life. He loved reading and learning, listening to all types of music, his favorite musician was Jimi Hendrix. Charles was a community activist throughout his life. He participated in search parties for missing children in Cleveland, and working with the John F. Kennedy High School alumni helping with planning and organizing alumni reunions and events. He loved to exercise at the gym weekly and he always announced when he was working out to his Facebook followers so his family would know he was doing well.

Charles Timothy Dixon was re-united after many years with a very close child-hood friend Donald Baughs. They grew up together as childhood neighbors he treated and felt like Donald was his “Spiritual Little Brother”. Donald asked Charles to be a host on his new radio talk show at voice it Radio Cleveland-“We’ve got issues”, they started broadcasting the show in July 2020. A special tribute show in honor of Charles talent was given on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Charles was known as the host that brought the “Heat from the Street” and “Quiet Thunder” due to his favored broadcasting personality of speaking the truth from his mind and heart.

Overall Charles was loving, compassionate and well-loved by others, He loved life and was confident in his life-style and journey here on earth. He wore the cross of salvation and allowed God to lead him on his life journey until it was time for his home coming by GOD to GOD by his faithfulness in salvation through Jesus Christ. He was a special blessing to everyone he knew and sometimes didn’t know. He carried the attributes of the Holy Spirit as told in Galatians chapter 5:22-26 - Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Charles was not conceited, irritating and jealous of others. Charles will remain in our memories forever. 

Charles leaves to mourn brothers and sisters: Cheryl Jackson-Coleman (Stanley), Akron, Ohio. Wendall Jordan (Cocoa), Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Jordan, Cleveland, Ohio, Alvert Nino Jordan (Veronica), Cleveland, Ohio. Darren Jordan, Cleveland, Ohio. Special nieces: Carmelyn Jackson, Akron, Ohio, Angelica Coleman, Akron, Ohio. Special aunt/cousin, Shirley Hill, Cleveland, Ohio and a host of other relatives and friends.
