Beverly Ann Parker-DeCluett was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 4, 1947 to the late Julius and Lorean Parker. She was the youngest of nine children.
Beverly accepted Christ and was baptized when she was 18 years old at Starlight Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Edward Small. She was an active member of the church’s choir for many years.
Beverly was educated in the Cleveland Public School System and graduated from Glenville High School. After graduating from high school, Beverly worked several jobs before finding her passion as a Home Health Aide at the Visiting Nurse Association. She was a dedicated aide until her retirement in 2011.
Beverly began dating a childhood friend, Willie DeCluett, on June 30, 1991 and their love grew into a confirmation of marriage on March 25, 1998 in Las Vegas. Willie and Beverly shared a passion for traveling to see the world. They visited all 50 states, China, the Arctic Circle, and the Land of the Midnight Sun amongst other places. One of her most memorable experiences was traveling in a hot air balloon in Sedona, Arizona. She especially loved to travel by train, but only if she was able to reach her destination in a sleeper car. In addition, Beverly loved hosting big parties in her home for family and friends. She was often seen dancing, enjoying music, and ensuring that everyone was having a good time.
Beverly was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Willie DeCluett, her children Tammie and Shani, brother Mark, her grandchildren Dontrell and CJ, as well as her great-grandchildren SeSe, Jade and Dontrell Jr. In addition, Beverly extended her motherly love to her bonus children Shantel, Derek, Karla and Denise, as well as to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her love and kindness touched all who knew and loved her. She will live forever in our hearts and memories.
