Alexander James Hickson

Age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his home in Hercules, CA.  Alexander James Hickson was a renowned Vocalist, Musician, Actor, Director and Teacher.  He taught for many years at the Cleveland School of the Arts and John Hay High School. He was the cherished cousin of Gwendolyn La’Nae Franklin of Hercules, CA and Marcel Greenwood of Antioch, CA, beloved nephew of Elder Annie Cox of Mobile, AL and loved by a host of precious cousins, extended family members, dear friends, numerous colleagues and students.  Family hour Saturday, May 18th, 10 AM at Antioch Baptist Church, 8869 Cedar Ave. followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11 AM.  Family will receive friends Friday, May 17th, 5-7 PM at the E. F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home, 2165 E. 89th St., William F. Boyd, Sr. Way.  Interment Lake View Cemetery.
