Vivian "Vickie" Carroll

Praise ye the Lord, O my soul, the Lord is good and sing praises unto our God. On July 22, 1959, God blessed Marvin and Maurice Johnson with their second daughter Vivian Carroll. Vivian accepted Christ Jesus at the age of ten, in July 1969 she received her baptism at Temple Baptist Church. Vivian nicknames were "Vicky" or "Squeeze." Vicky attended Cleveland Public Schools. After completing her educational studies at John Hay High School in 1977. Vicky enrolled in collegiate courses at Cuyahoga Community College, she earned an Associate of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Eager and passionate to help others, Vicky applied her knowledge, talent and skills in the Physical Therapy Department at University Hospital, she also built a cohort in The Respiratory Department, where she later worked as well. Vicky aspirations grew, she applied for a Physical Therapist position at the WO Walker Center. In July 1996, she joined their team of therapists and worked alongside Possum (Martha). Vicky was a devoted member of First Bethel Baptist Church and St. John Baptist Church. Vivian was a member of the choir and she attended Sunday school, Morning Worship and Vocational Bible studies as well as weekly classes. She continued her study of theology under the tutelage of Dr. Morrison at Moody Bible Institute in Cleveland, OH. Vickey's favorite holidays were Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, she loved cooking, baking and decorating the house for the different occasions while listening to her gospel music. She also liked R&B singers; Michael Jackson and Rap Artist Tupac. Vickey filled all the tables with cakes, pies, and candy for her family and friends which left little to no space to eat at the table. And she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; shopping; playing video games; or taking them to Bolton's playground but when she wanted to relax she read her bible and completed word search puzzles.

On February 6, 2018 at 8:59 p.m. Vivian Carroll departed this life at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in the presence of family and friends. Her courageous fight with cancer ended and her soul was released onto her Savior Jesus Christ. Vivian leaves cherished memories to her loved ones; John & Emma Carroll(deceased), James & Mattie Tucker (deceased), Marvin & Maurice Johnson (deceased), her children Stephanie and Aaron; grandchildren; Jamarion ;Jordyn, Aaron Jr.; Justin; Ayden and Jurnee; Siblings; Rita, Marvin (deceased), Phyllis (deceased), Anthony, and Maurice; nieces and nephews; Sherry ( Ogie), James, Christopher (deceased), Anthony Jr., Marshea, Jermel, Ashley, Matthew, and Erik; uncles John (JT deceased), Steve, Sam, David, Wallace, and Danny; aunts, Irma, Hester, Linda, Sherry, Daisy, Martha, Cookie and Ethel and a host of relatives and friends.
