Ms. Eudora Simpson was born in 1927 in Hardaway Alabama to Fannie and Jefferson Simpson.
The youngest of her siblings, she followed her brother Girlee, her sister Thelma and Thelma's husband Nathaniel north to Cleveland. Eudora was married and divorced twice, eventually finding lifelong friendship with Mr. James ("Blue") Rickman.
She was a member of Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Usher Board.
Eudora retired from Stouffer Foods.
Eudora, affectionately known as "Auntie" by family and friends, enjoyed sports, playing on both a softball team and bowling league. A master gardener, she landscaped her yard herself with beautiful flowers and a bountiful vegetable garden. What Auntie was best known for was her cooking and baking! Pound cake, egg pie, sweet potato pie and of course her famous German chocolate cake! You could taste the love baked into every bite!
Eudora leaves to celebrate her life her brother Mr. Girlee Simpson, her nephews; Mr. Jerome Simpson and Mr. Jefferson Simpson Moore, her niece; Althea Moore Johnson and her great niece Athena Nimmer along with family and friends
