Callie Gates was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 20, 1924 to Nonie and Jasper Hughes. Callie enjoyed cooking, going on casino trips and scratching off lottery tickets. Callie also loved to spend time with her family. Callie was a dear sister of Elizabeth Brooks and a loving aunt to Marsha Brooks and Russell Harrison. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
