Floyd Hare Obituary

Obituary:

Floyd L. Hare was born on April 1,1948 in Calhoun, Alabama to the late Mary Lee Bruce-Hare and the late Jake Hare, Jr.  Floyd was the fifth oldest of six children. He accepted Christ at an early age at Raymond Baptist Church.

Floyd graduated from Calhoun Laboratory High. After graduation he joined the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Shortly after serving in the military Floyd moved to Cleveland, Ohio and there he met his Lifelong companion Elizabeth Hardy  And six children were born out of that blessed union.

Floyd worked at Cleveland Heights High School as a janitor until he gained employment with The Brecksville Veterans Administration Hospital where he was employed as a dietary aide. He worked at the Brecksville VA Location until the hospital closed.  He was later transferred to the Lois Stokes Cleveland Va location. He worked at the VA hospital for 28 years. Floyd retired from the VA hospital in 2014.

Floyd was a sincere, hardworking and caring person. He enjoyed watching sports, playing his lottery and buying scratch off tickets. He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by everyone who crossed his path. Both parents preceded Floyd in death.

Floyd's two sons: Floyd Hare Jr. and Jerry Hardy and one sister Clementine Moland also preceded him in death.
