Evelyn Odean (Maples) Goodson

Evelyn Odean Maples Goodson was born in Athens, Alabama on December 13, 1929 to Virgie and William Maples.  She was a clerk at the Federal Reserve Bank for many years.  She was a dedicated member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Administrative Secretary.  She served on several ministries, including coordinating the Meals on Wheels Program and the Travel Club.  She was a gifted woman of Christ who was blessed to serve at all levels of the United Methodist Church - local, conference, and the General Church.  Evelyn Was appointed by the late Bishop Thomas to the General Council on Finance and Administration.  She enjoyed gardening, attending church, and cooking for her family and friends.  Evelyn was a beloved mother of Kimberyl, Melanie, William and Robert (deceased), a loving grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 4.  Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
