Ella Louise Hill was born in Marion, Alabama to Estelle and Clarence Chapman Sr. on July 5, 1923. Ella was a former automotive inspector at General Motors for many years. She enjoyed family gatherings and reunions, sewing and tailoring, crocheting, macrame, traveling and millinery. Ella was a Eastern Star /Hadassa Chapter 39 and a member of the National Council of Negro Women. She was a beloved mother of Walter ( Evelyn) Hill Jr., Virginia Hill (deceased), Zachary (Joan) Hill, Yolanda Hill and Bonita Mills, a loving sister of Clarence, Eugene, Freddie, Johnnie, Frank, Robert, Estelle, Earnestine, Luenett and Gloria, dear grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of twelve. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
