Darrell Dickson Obituary

The Obituary

Darrell Kenneth Dickson was born to the union of Roscoe and Bertell Dickson on January 31, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was educated in both the public and catholic school systems.  Darrell’s education extended from Shaw High School to Woodland Job Center where he obtained his certification in auto mechanics. Darrell had a passion for working on any car. He was known for being the “number one mechanic on Grasmere.” No matter how complex or difficult the task may be, there was no job he could not fix.  If Darrell was not able to get under the car he would find a way to tell or show you how to fix it.

Darrell married Gloria Dickson on August 27, 1983. To this union three children were born, Ladonti, Shalonda and LaToya. He also had two other children; Sonya and Darrell Jr.

After an ongoing battle with major health concerns, the lord called him home to rest Saturday, March 2, 2019. The battle has been fought and the victory has been won. He will be missed. We loved you so, but God loved you best.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Bertell Dickson-Lewis, five children and a host of grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

                         Lovingly submitted,

                         The Family

To My Son:

I love you more than all the rest, but not more than God. As my thoughts wonder I see God in all places and many a voice phases, but God never changes. Please let God be the head of your life. God is love.

                                                            -Mom

My father lived a fast and fulfilling life the way he saw fit. Although he encountered a few engine failures, he was able to pump the breaks and recharge his battery to start again.  Dad you are now officially able to say PEACE BE STILL! I love you and will see you later.

                                                                                -Toya

God,

SAW YOU GETTING TIRED

When a cure was not to be

He wrapped his arms around you,

And whispered, “COME TO ME”

You didn’t deserve what you went through so

He gave you needed rest,

God’s,

Garden must be Beautiful

HE only takes THE BEST

                                   -Your Loving Family
