Betty F. Jackson

Evangelist Betty Faye Jackson was born on July 15, 1941, in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Willie and Callie Williams. She was the third child of nine children to this union.

In 1945, the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and later continued her education in early childhood development.

She spent many years working for the State of Ohio, Department of Mental Health and Children Services where she worked until she retired.  She loved helping people especially children and took pride in her work. She was dedicated, and was loved and respected by everyone. She enjoyed traveling, baking, and doing her own yard work. But her biggest pastime was shopping.

She was united in holy matrimony on May 26, 1967 to Wilbert J. Jackson who proceeded her in death. She was a mother of nine children. Betty accepted Christ in her life and has been a faithful member of New Zion Gospel Church since 1997 where she was involved with Sunday School, Building Fund, and Missionary.

Betty departed her life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at home. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory nine children: Ralph, Raymond (Doreatha), Bonita (Vincent), Sarah, Jeffrey, Marvin (Ruby), Sonja (Theodore), Wilonda, Robin, and “special daughter”, Christine; two sisters, Harriett and Veronica; one brother Terrell; 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Barbara Jean, Willie Ruth, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Carolyn.
