Terence R. Holmes

Terence R. Holmes was born February 27, 1963 to Earnestine Thomas (deceased) and Roy R. Holmes. Terence the second of three children, departed this life peacefully in his sleep July 25, 2017.
Terence was educated in the East Cleveland School System. He graduated from Shaw High School and moved to Columbus Ohio to continue his education. Terence earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Management Technology from Columbus State Community College. Terence was a 24-year state employee and 7 year employee of the Office of Budget and Management where he served as a Shared Services Associate. Terence also worked for the Department of Youth Services.
In addition, Terence served as a Manager during the late 80's early 90's for Popeye and Wendy Restaurants.
As a youth, Terry was a Boy Scout, played at the saxophone and started a very small business called "Holmes Enterprise" where he delivered the morning newspaper. He expanded his staff to include his sister and younger brother.
Terry was an individual with many loves. He loved baking. During holidays or whenever he came home, family and friends would call to place orders for cakes, pies and cookies. Terry loved to travel, especially with his sister, Wyndolyn. He loved sports and shopping. Terry was always fashionably dressed. He was not afraid of color. Terry loved family and friends. Among the friendships he cherished were those formed as a youth in his neighborhood.
Terry had an easy-going personality and an infectious smile. Co-workers nicked named him the frugal-coupon king and a few relatives referred to him affectionately as "big dawg". Terry always strived to live his best life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father Roy Holmes of Cleveland, Ohio, his sister, Wyndolyn Alexander of Pikesville, Md., his brother, Gregory (DeGernarra) Holmes, Niece, D. Mayka Holmes, Nephew, Gregory Holmes II, Nephew, DeNarius Holmes, Aunts, Uncles and a host of cousins and friends.
