NISAH NANCE, 44
Nisah Nance passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2017, after recently being diagnosed with Bicuspid Aortic Valve disease. Nisah was a source of wisdom and laughter for her family and friends. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for touching people in a deep and profound way.
Nisah was born on May 24, 1972 to June Carey-Moore and the late Larry David Steele.
She graduated from R.B. Chamberlin High School in Twinsburg, Ohio in 1990. She was an outstanding track and field athlete, and earned a scholarship to Grambling State University, where she received her bachelor's degree. Nisah worked for Dell Computer Company for over ten years as Sales Account Executive. Nisah was also a health and wellness enthusiast. Prior to her passing, she was in school earning her certification as a health coach, so that she could educate others on wholesome living and nutrition.
Nisah was a very kind and gentle soul. She had a loving, generous heart and she always went out of her way for others. Nisah truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; primarily through being a supportive and devoted mom to her daughter Yanni and a very loyal, protective, and caring daughter to her mother, June.
Nisah was preceded in death by her beloved older sister, Keneshia Carey, grandmother Rahimmah Abdullah, grandfather John Moore, uncle Kevin Ware, aunt Rikki Carey, and her cousins Craig Carey and Kirk Carey.
Her doting and only child, Yasmeen "Yanni" Nance, will forever cherish her mom's beautiful life. Yanni was the center and driving force of Nisah's life. Nisah's hard work, determination, and every fiber in her body was fueled by the love she had for her daughter, Yanni. Yanni was the most important part of Nisah's life.
Nisah also leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her mother and dear friend, June Carey-Moore, whom she supported, encouraged and loved deeply; her previous spouse, Kenneth Nance; her aunts Saundra Perrin, Ah'Ishah Carey, Lynnell Sims; her uncles, Warren Carey (Maria), Duhkan (Jamillah), Michael Ware, Garland Ware; and her best friend for over twenty years, Vanessa Carter. Nisah also leaves many beloved cousins, family and friends, whom are too many to list by name. Nisah will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We invite all to attend Nisah's memorial service on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 12:00PM in the afternoon, at the E.F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home Chapel located at 25900 Emery Road Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44128.
