Marshall Henderson Obituary

Marshall Dennis Henderson was born October 15, 1950 in Cleveland, Oh. He was the second son of Richard & Willa Henderson both of whom preceded him in death.

Marshall accepted Christ early in his life. As a child, he attended St. John AME Church where he was baptized. His Christian experience included many hours of prayer and reflection.

Marshall attended Miles Standish Elementary, Glenville High School, and Max Hayes Trade School. He joined the Navy in 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1970.

Marshall married Brenda Mitchell July 12,1996.

He began his employment working for his father, Richard Henderson, at Henderson & Sons Painting Company. He then went to work for CMHA where he retired.

Marshall loved sports, shooting range, yard work, and spending time with his family. He was a very kind, fair, and thoughtful person to all. He maintained special relationships with everyone. He was a hard worker and fighter. A man of principal who saw things with clear vision. His mantra was "it is what it is." He loved his community and neighborhood. He was always there to help when needed, extremely dependable.

He leaves to cherish is memory:

Children: Marshall Henderson Jr. (Nashville, TN), Raquel Henderson (deceased), Makeba Ashe (Mark), Robert Bearden.
Uncle: Wesley Henderson Sr.,
Brothers: Eugene Henderson (Darlene), James Henderson, Richard Henderson Jr.
Sister-in-laws: Mary Dumas, Linda Townsend (Jesse).
Brother-in-laws: Jackie Bearden, (Reno, Nevada), Otto Bearden Jr.
Grandchildren: Tiana, Breauna, Robert Jr., Imani of (Nashville, TN), Makiya.
Great Grandchildren: Cariana, Aubree.
