Josie Mae Burgess was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 23, 1924 to Mary and Timothy Glass. Josie was a former Neo-Natal Nurse for Marymount Hospital for twenty-five years. Josie enjoyed cooking, gardening, styling hair and was an avid Bid Whist player. Josie also loved going to church when she could. Josie was a member of Unity Baptist church for many years where she served on the Usher's Board. Josie was a beloved mother of Larry Burgess, Brenda Carter and Barbara Jackson. Josie was a loving grandmother to Brian, Lawrence Jr., Brigett, Candace, Loren and Raven . Josie was a dear sister to Willie Mae Stewart and a cherished mother- in law to Gayle. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
