Herman was born to the late John and Modenia Horne in East St. Louis, Illinois on April 5, 1940. He went to John Robinson Jr. High School and Lincoln High School in East St. Louis, Illinois. Later on Herman met Ollie Weston (deceased) and got married, with this union was three Children born, sons: Herman Levertus Horne, Rodney Amos Horne, and a daughter Donna Horne (deceased). Herman joined the US Army for six years, and left the military with an honorable discharge.
He then married second wife, Peggie Smith, who preceded in death. Herman made his home in Cleveland, Ohio. He married his third wife JoAnn Horne who also proceeded him in death
Herman worked at Ford Motor Company in Solon, Ohio. He also was a carpet layer for years. Herman later started leasing the Mahogany, the Phase Three, the Diplomat, and other clubs.
Herman loved Jesus and the Bible, he read the bible often.
Herman had a good life, cooking, and partying with friends. He was an entertainer and kept everyone full and high (Alcohol)i. He love all of YOU!!!!
Herman leaves to grieve his two sons Herman and Rodney Horne, St. Louis, Missouri; brothers: Willie, Melvin , John, Richard ( deceased), and Amos ( Nyasha) of Cleveland, Ohio; cousins: Rosemary Turner, Ella Holt, and Johnny Summer all of East St. Louis, Illinois; Niece Malika ( Marvin); nephew, Patar, and step daughter Rafael.
Herman took ill suddenly with Cancer, but continued to work on his garage with brothers Amos and Marvin. After completion of the garage was a party, "Party it was" for it was the last to be had.
Herman asked his brothers Amos to thank Diane, Yvonne, Jamie, Joyce, Renee, Beverly, Darlene & Ron, Pam "Helen & the Golden Girls", Doc, Chip, Vernon & Marvin for all the love and support, Thank you all truly from our heart!! He love you all.
