Deed Randell Carroll Jr. was born October 28, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Deed Carroll Sr., and Doris Carroll-Smith. Deed was the second of three children.
Deed known as Skippy departed this life at the Veterans Hospice of Cleveland, Ohio and went to his eternal reward July 11, 2017 after a long battle with leukemia.
Deed is a veteran of the Vietnam War, were he served in the Marine Corps from March 15, 1967 till March 7, 1969 and was discharged under honorable conditions.
Deed met and Married Ester Carroll and from this union two children were born, Deed III and Neko.
Deed dedicated his life to the Lord and was baptized in Jesus name during the summer of 2010. He received the Holy Ghost during a revival meeting with Bishop Clifton Jones. Deed was directed to the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle under Elder Michael Byers and received the right hand of fellowship on November 7, 2010. Deed regularly attended bible study on Mondays, and the through the Bible series. Deed was a prominent member of the men's ministry while he was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle.
Deed leaves to cherish memories of him and mourn his passing, two sons Deed III and Neko; four grandchildren Neko Jr., Mekhi, Kareem, and Jada; One brother Marcus Smith (Sara); two nephews Bruce and Wesley and one niece Tia, and a host of cousins and other family members and friends. His parents Doris and Stenston Smith, sister Dianne and niece Jennifer all preceded him in death.
